This is definitely a film not to be missed but people in St. Louis must turn out in droves to support this film. Shot entirely in St. Louis, it was directed by a local filmmaker and produced by local entrepreneurs and stars an inspiring candidate who wants to represent his city and its people and features the city's opinion makers, pundits and leaders. This is a dramatic story with many highs and lows as Jeff Smith's passion for the issues and his desire to make the tough decisions propell his campaign, which we see from an insider's point of view. I now live in Los Angeles but lived in St. Louis for more than 15 years and I want to thank Frank Popper, Matt Coen, Mike Kime, Jeff Smith and everyone else who gave their time and energy to make this film a reality. It is definitely a gem and one that will make St. Louis proud.

Great looking site! I wanted to let you know that I < a href="http://agnesvarnum.com/2006/07/03/independence-day...">re-posted about the film after I saw it (though there are some great comments on that original post).

Also, there is an interesting discussion going on about Jeff PubDef Weekly. I'm looking forward to hearing more stories from the field in the coming months! And thanks for bringing the film to NYC!

Wow! This film really gets behind the scenes and tells it like it is. I saw it in DC and was completly wowed. It's about time someone showed the political landscape for what it is and actually gives us some hope.

Thanks so much for the wonderful film!!! My friend heard about it on the radio Friday and we drove into St. Louis (from Republican Franklin County, MO) to see it on Saturday. Jeff Smith's enthusiasm and dedication are infectious!
