Can Mr. Smith Get to Washington Anymore? on PBS

Our movie started playing on PBS last night. For us, the producers, we have all seen it over 100 times, but last night there was palpable excitement in the air when we got together to watch it on PBS. The thought that so many people nationwide were sharing the experience with us was overwhelming.

To everyone who watched last night...thank you very much. Please tell us what you thought or ask us any questions about the film; we will try to answer any questions you have.

We hope the movie inspires people to get involved in working with political campaigns and supporting candidates who stand for their core beliefs as we move into this new election cycle.

If there are any campaigns or other groups who would like to do showings of the film, please contact us. We will try to accomodate the needs for your group if at all possible.

We want as many people to see the movie as possible. If anyone wants to buy a copy, send them to our online store at the website.

Thank you again!

I just wanted to say that I happened across your film last night on PBS and found it riveting, inspiring, and moving. I appreciate you making the film. It did a great job of reminding us that if we simply vote for whom we think is most "electable" rather than whom we truly believe in, then we are throwing our votes away. Good luck to you and to Jeff Smith, and thanks again for your film.

I am so! glad I stayed up to watch PBS last nite. I'm 28 years old, I have an active personal interest in politics, and at the documentary's end-I wanted to stand up and cheer!!!!! What a wonderful portrait, and I'm so happy that proof of my generations interest, passion, and desire to change the current political structure has been documented on film. Well done.

I TiVo'd the film and watched it last night. IT WAS GREAT!!! I am a St. Louisian but was away from the area when Jeff made his run for Congress, so it was all new to me. I was on the edge of my seat as he rides the ups and downs of emotions on election night. I really thought he was going to win.
Also, very disturbing commentary about Missourians, who seem to have elected Carnahan by name recognition only. After viewing this doc, it's VERY apparent that he wasn't the best man for the job.

thank you for making this film. it aired at 11:30pm here in san francisco. i usually switch over to pbs for a few minutes after seinfeld is over and before letterman comes on. i missed letterman, that night. this film and jeff smith's energy kept me up waay past my bedtime.

i was raised in st. louis, so was immediately hooked. not many films coming out of st. louis or missouri. it made me wish i still lived there, if for no other reason than to vote for jeff smith. rock on!
